My career in print and film styling began behind the lens – as a photographer. It’s from this perspective that I developed a unique understanding and appreciation of composition and the technical relationships between light and film - how one affects the other.
And it's this knowledge that gave me an advantage that other stylists didn't have, and what led me to pick up the brushes and become my own stylist.
In styling I’ve found my true passion. With more than 25 years in the industry, and a makeup artist of the year award from NAHA (North American Hairstyling Awards), I still love my craft, and I continue my professional development through seminars and workshops in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago that keep me current with contemporary techniques, technology, and materials.
If it’s my “eye” that makes my work special, it’s my experience that keeps producers coming back.
My broad knowledge and multi-faceted perspective mean I bring more than just makeup and style to your shoot. Photographer, videographer, restaurant manager, food stylist, casting director, producer, theater carpenter, electrician: in the course of my career, I’ve done all these things and then some.
I can add value in all kinds of ways, and you can rely on me to make a difference for your project. Chances are, you’ll see it in the first frame.
Thank you for your interest, and I look forward to working with you!
